Volunteer caring for a shelter dog

How the platform works

1. Search shelters worldwide
Every shelter here was found and added by hand, from public sources. Filter by country, by the animals a shelter cares for, or by how many it keeps — or search by name if you already know who you’re looking for.
2. Read their page
Each shelter has a page of its own: photos, a description of what they do, who runs it, contacts, and links to wherever they’re active online. Enough to decide whether this is a place you want to back.
3. Help them directly
Bank accounts, PayPal, and whatever else a shelter accepts are listed on its page, ready to copy. Your money goes from you to them — HelpShelter never receives, holds, or forwards a single donation.
4. Spread the word
Small shelters are found through people, not search engines. Share a page and it reaches your friends, then theirs — and often someone able to help far more than a single donation ever could.
