About the shelter

“Our Home” - a shelter with a kind heart 💛 The shelter was founded by the Kefer family in 2010. Many people think of us in different ways.
Back in 2009, I was a very young girl who never thought about any animal protection at all. Yes, I loved animals, yes, sometimes picked up a kitty or a dog, looking for a home. And then one day I accidentally found a animal-protection site..... Well, what can I do? I am a girl without a home, money, car...yes in general without everything. They just asked me to take a couple pictures of the animals. I went, made a photo, could not sleep, knowing that the cat is there, and I'm here .... So I started paying for fosters, campaigns, foster homes, searches. We started as simple animal activists, now I and my husband - the heads of a large shelter with a soul and history, we try to implement new projects to improve the situation of animals in our city (sterilization of public dogs, chipping, search for missing), since June 2017 supervised the work of vetreceiver GorEkoCenter, since 2020 supervise the work of RemKom, trying to solve the problem of cruel capture and maintenance of animals.

Today we have a little over 200 animals, a huge, clean territory with enclosures, a lot of ideas for development and, what makes me very happy, an inflow of new forces in the form of wonderful volunteers. Dogs are kept in comfortable enclosures, with a winter house and a walker, without overpopulation and infringement of their rights, with the opportunity to take free walks twice a week with the whole huge crowd. All animals are fed dry food, canned food and meat. Each animal is vaccinated and sterilized. Puppies are often socialized by our helpers at home with families.
