About the shelter

“Fidelity” is a shelter and rehabilitation center located 12.4 km from Smolensk. Our organization was founded ten years ago when Dmitry, our founder, sheltered the first few dogs.

Since then, Fidelity has grown into a rehabilitation center and home for many stray and wild animals. Our mission is based on the belief that every animal deserves love, care and respect. Every day we fight for the lives of the abused and abandoned, and we strive to improve the lives of homeless animals in our region by providing free medical care as well as sterilization. To support our mission, we have built an on-site clinic to help every homeless and wild animal that comes to us. But truly our ultimate goal is to find a forever loving home for each and every one of them. We are a private organization and survive only because of donations from people like you who believe in treating every living thing with respect and in our responsibility to help animals in need. Our Fidelity shelter is in constant need of food and medical supplies, as well as volunteers. And we are reaching out to the broader community in hopes of finding support. We believe that with your help, we can save more lives and develop more programs to rehabilitate the traumatized.
