About the shelter

Our House “Shaggy Fates” was founded more than 10 years ago. Unequal-hearted Svetlana and her sister Vera, who used to feed street animals, decided to take a few animals to their home on the eve of cold weather. Then a few more ... and again ... and again ... What can we do, there are those who are ready to pass by the needy ... And there are others who, passing by, stop and say: “Come with me, it's cold and lonely here.” The budget is based entirely on their salaries, so we periodically put out a call for help to raise funds for sterilization, construction and food. Our team is small and consists of those who over the years have not lost their way and have chosen to be there for us, helping in any way they can. Our goal is to create comfortable living conditions for those animals who have not yet managed to become pets.

To accomplish this, we handle tasks such as: ∙ Treatment, sterilization, vaccination ∙ Socialization, elimination of psychological traumas ∙ Training of basic commands, accustoming to ammunition ∙ Families with children ∙ Selection of a pet for potential owners taking into account the character traits of the shaggy one ∙ Tracking the adaptation of the pet in a new family with further photo-video greetings throughout the life of the pet

 Since the beginning of 2020, the number of our wards has almost quadrupled and continues to grow. We still have not been able to bring in a patron or sponsor to support Shaggy financially. Our shelter has a good reputation, in 2021 we have built a partnership with the Giving Hope Foundation on an ongoing basis. Also our event partners are Purina and the Beethoven chain store. We take an active part in charity events, to which we are invited, which allows us to provide additional food, veterinary drugs, etc. for our shaggy dogs. We actively write about all actions and events in social networks and news on the website. The doors of our House “Shaggy Fates” are always open for those who are not indifferent, responsible, willing to help, even if only with a kind word.
