About the shelter

Shelter “Vita” has existed in Yaroslavl for more than 10 years, and in November 2022 it came under the supervision of the “Fidelity” Foundation and since then it has been actively transforming and changing for the better under its leadership.

Our goal is to create a comfortable environment for both the dogs and the people who want to help them.

Now there are about 140 dogs in the shelter, and this is much more than our conditions and resources allow, so it is urgently necessary to reduce the number of wards by means of additions, which is very difficult. Alas, there are not enough good handles for all of them. But we do not give up and we try very hard to find the best homes for our wards! Over the last year and a half of our work with the NGO “Fidelity” we have adopted more than 70 dogs, but their places were quickly taken by new ones - those who were thrown to the gates of the shelter, abandoned by their owners, seriously injured, those who had no one else to help them and nowhere to go. Most of our charges are old, traumatized (even three-legged, blind), dogs with chronic and cancer diseases, and they require constant special care. The shelter's employees (who are very few in number, as few are ready to work under the most intense loads and stress) work at the edge of their abilities.

Shelter “Vita” is not supported by the government, but exists on the donations of people who care and are always in need of support. If you want to bring gifts for the dogs, you can find the list of necessities here: https://vk.com/topic-218166857_49287697.

In addition to material goods, we are always in dire need of physical help. Help with construction and renovation is one of the most urgent needs. If you have at least minimal experience and a desire to help, please write to us or give us a call.

We are grateful to everyone who comes to our aid - whether it is participation in a clean-up day or a construction site, help with food or financial aid. And, of course, we are always happy to see you, friends! All our dogs are vaccinated, treated from parasites, have vet.passports, you can walk with them without fear for your health.

“Dogs don't need our pity, they need our help”. Thank you for being with us, friends! Let's make this world a better place together❤
