About the shelter

Krasnodar city charitable public organization shelter for injured animals “Krasnodog” was founded in the distant 2003 and began its activities with a few cages with homeless animals. Since its foundation and up to now we are the only official shelter for homeless animals in Krasnodar. The main focus of “Krasnodog” is to help the injured animals who found themselves on the street, of which there are more than 500 in the shelter. And our main pride is more than 20 000 cats and dogs that have found their homes! The shelter does not receive support from the state and exists on donations from citizens. But despite the constant difficulties and lack of funding, we try to grow and do not stop at what we have achieved. Over the past year we were able to build a new trauma unit for dogs. We expanded the boxes, each has light, a warm floor, and a drain. Several of our doctors have already received advanced training in the capital. We also repaired the viral department for cats and dogs. Now, the repair of the skin ward of the shelter is in the queue. Thanks to your help we can create better conditions for our furry wards!

 The activities of the organization are not limited to the maintenance of the shelter. We strive to work in other directions as well! At the moment Krasnodog shelter for injured animals is: ∙ The maintenance of more than 500 previously injured dogs and cats; ∙ Adoption of shelter animals not only in the geography of the Krasnodar region, but also in other cities and countries; ∙ Project “Curating”; ∙ Developed volunteer and charity movement; ∙ Operation of a veterinary office, including various services for domestic and neglected animals at democratic prices; ∙ Preferential sterilization of homeless animals; ∙ Availability of a skin, virus (cats/dogs), wellness (separate dog enclosures and cat house) and trauma department (separate cats and dogs); X-rays; ∙ Doctors of different specialties (dentist, radiologist, orthopedist, neurologist, nephrologist, ultrasound doctor, several surgeons);
