Our small animal welfare organisation aims to take animal welfare abroad to a new level. Through concrete action and strategic planning, we aim to help improve animal welfare. One of our key initiatives is to actively involve local communities in animal welfare. Rather than just providing outside help, we work closely with local people to create long-term solutions. This involves awareness campaigns, training and building sustainable local structures. Another key aspect of our work is to promote education and awareness. We believe that information is the best way to raise awareness of animal welfare. Working together, we can pool resources, share best practice and create synergies to bring about sustainable change. Overall, our goal is to use holistic approaches and multilateral cooperation to sustainably improve animal welfare overseas and make a positive difference to the lives of countless animals. Our vision is a world where animals are protected, respected and loved - wherever they live. Floriela lives in Romania, in the small town of Finta, with around 200 dogs and 33 cats, and the numbers are growing. The situation there is dire. Almost every day Floriela receives new animals asking for shelter. Places are limited and the chances of finding a new home in Romania are slim. That is why we are supporting Floriela and the animals and looking for new homes for dogs and cats! The most important project for us at the moment is to build a new shelter for all of Floriela's animals. For the past few years, the animals have been kept in Floriela's house and on her land. She can't cope any longer. Mayor Finta, one of the few animal lovers, has given Floriela the barn. We have the opportunity to build 24 enclosures in this building, providing a warm place for the animals and quickly improving the situation at Floriela's home. We plan to move all the animals there, build a medical room in one of the rooms so that all the animals, including the street dogs, can be neutered and Floriela will no longer have to walk through makeshift fences with jugs of water and food. We also need help at the facility and would welcome anyone who would like to help. Our aim is to have a large number of animals in safe new homes by Christmas.
