About the shelter

Animal rescue Plushka is based in Kyiv. Prior to the war Snezhana and her team rescued stray animals, usually those in desperate need of veterinary help after cruel treatment by humans, as well those from puppy farms. Annually Plushka was able to rehome 150-200 animals. When the war started there were 106 animals in their care, most of which were taken to Europe to new homes or trusted no-kill shelters. Many foster homes in Ukraine were destroyed, Plushka team continues to rescue animals from the streets, find forever homes, and deliver food to animals in need.
