About the shelter

Shelter «Friend» — is a place where today about 600 animals are living. There are animals with difficulty fate: someone got into trouble, someone was hit by a car, mutilated by people, wounded, beaten... In a shelter there are many disabled — without paws, without eyes, with the broken backs. After recovery our wards are sterilized, processed from parasites. They live in a shelter until they find their new homes.
Shelter exists only thanks to volunteers. Our dear volunteers save, feed, treat. Animals at the expense of charitable contributions from ordinary people who care about animals. The shelter doesn’t have ANY support from the state or government. Everything is created and works only thanks to enthusiasm and volunteers and people who love animals.

Shelter Friend is a non-profit shelter established in 2012. It is home for over 600 sick and injured stray animals in Dnepr, Ukraine. Marina, the owner of the shelter has decided to stay in Dnepr despite difficult conditions. Usually the shelter also helps very injured animals and nurtures them back to health.
