About the shelter

Sirius is the place of animal rescue and help. Our reliance is people who every day do their best to give homeless animals a new happy life. Our goal is a country where there are no homeless animals. Together with you, we are forming a culture of responsible attitude towards the four-legged inhabitants of our country. We’ve been working since 2000. Sirius is the biggest shelter for homeless animals in Ukraine. Since 2000 we have been steriolizing and finding a permanent home for dogs and cats, helping to humanely solve the problem of a huge number of homeless animals. More than 3000 dogs and cats are under the care of the shelter now. All animals are necessarily sterilized, assistance is also provided in the sterilization of homeless and domestic animals to low-income families in the city of Kyiv and the nearby settlements of the Kyiv region. We promote sterilization as the only humane and effective way to solve the problem of a huge number of animals on the streets. It is important for us to draw public attention to existing problems and implement effective projects for the benefit of society at the level of Kyiv city, Kyiv region and the entire territory of Ukraine. We urge everyone to treat their pets responsibly, sterilize dogs and cats in a timely manner.
