"Happy dog" Volunteer organisation / Щасливий Пес Волонтерська організація

About the shelter

The organization, which is managed by Oksana Litvinova, was created in 2014: "It all started with 25 dogs that were kept by our volunteers before the construction of the first enclosures. We got a place for a shelter in 2016, because the number of animals was growing and it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep them at home.» The main aims of the organisation are - to create a positive public opinion in favour of animal welfare; - to carry out activities aimed at protecting and helping stray animals; - to cooperate with veterinary institutions for the purpose of treatment, sterilisation and vaccination of stray animals; - to cooperate with state authorities in the field of animal protection; - submitting proposals to public authorities and administrative bodies for the protection of stray animals; - to improve the situation of stray animals in the city; - to cooperate with other public organisations working in the field of animal protection; - to cooperate with foreign and international organisations with similar activities; - organising charity events, projects and programmes, both independently and in cooperation with other companies, institutions and charitable organisations.
