Dogs of Gyumri – A Small Shelter with a Big Mission Sobakeny Gyumri is a small but dedicated animal shelter in Gyumri, Armenia, providing care for homeless and injured dogs. It all started with Stepa, a dog with a broken leg. After surgery and a long recovery, releasing him back onto the streets was not an option. That’s how the shelter was born—to give dogs with nowhere else to go a second chance. Today, the shelter cares for 18 dogs, including 4 with disabilities, who require special attention. Many of the shelter’s residents arrived injured or seriously ill, but here, they have found warmth, care, and a chance at a better life. In just 1.5 years, the shelter has helped over 50 dogs, and 8 have been adopted into loving families. How Does the Shelter Help? ∙ Rescues and treats homeless dogs, ensuring they receive medical care and rehabilitation. ∙ Conducts sterilization. ∙ Finds new homes for rescued dogs, not only in Armenia but also abroad. How Can You Help? The shelter operates entirely on donations and volunteer support. To feed all the dogs, the shelter needs 250 kg of dry food per month. Every donation, no matter how small, helps provide food, medical care, and a safe place for these dogs. Donation details: EasyWallet 4344736 / Phone +374 91 476116
