About the shelter

Since 2016, a volunteer-driven organization Catoo Rescue Armenia has been a sanctuary for stray and abandoned dogs and cats, tirelessly rescuing, rehabilitating, spaying, neutering, and rehoming rescued animals. Thanks to the incredible individual support, in 2022 we were able to purchase and renovate our shelter, creating a safe haven for 180 animals: 160 cats: 15 tripods 5 one-eyed cats 5 blind cats 1 with two paws 1 deaf cat 6 paralyzed cats and 1 dog 20 dogs in the shelter and 10 in the yard.
CAToo Cat Rescue Armenia is a non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving and rehabilitating stray cats and dogs, many of whom have suffered neglect, abandonment, or abuse. At the shelter, they find warmth, care, and a safe place to heal. CAToo shelter operates solely on donations, with no financial support from the state or other organizations. The shelter continuously relies on kind-hearted people to provide food, medical care, and essential supplies for its residents. With no steady funding, the shelter faces constant challenges in covering the costs of feeding, caring for, and treating the animals. Every contribution, whether big or small, helps ensure that these animals receive the care they deserve.
