About the shelter

Hey! We are ZooPatrul, a non-governmental organization that rescues, evacuates and finds homes for animals. In the middle of the war, we got together to rescue animals locked in empty apartments. We would dismantle walls, kick the doors down, get on the balconies and roofs, and do everything possible and even a little impossible to save the lives of pets. As soon as it became possible to visit the liberated cities and villages of the Kyiv region, our patrols went there to evacuate and rescue animals. Now we help animals with severe injuries caused by war and human cruelty. So far, we have saved more than 1000 cats and dogs. We were supported by fellow vets and patrons and now we have our own veterinary clinic with professional doctors and modern equipment. But we have another big dream of our own modern shelter for animals of the European type. We are building a shelter in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region. We got acquainted with the experience of such institutions in Germany and Czech Republic and took the best solutions and ideas from there to make it comfortable and modern in Ukraine. Currently, the shelter is 60 % ready. We already have comfortable enclosures, a cat house and a small veterinary office. Completion of enclosures, premises for cats and a rehabilitation center for pets with disabilities is planned. We still have a lot of work to do with significant financial costs. That's why we really need your support. Join the ZooPatrul team! Let's protect the lives of animals together!
