The "Hayot" animal shelter was founded in 2015 in the Kibrai district of Uzbekistan. Initially, volunteers faced numerous challenges, including a lack of stable water and electricity supply. However, thanks to their dedication and the support of compassionate individuals, the shelter overcame these difficulties and created a safe haven for animals. Today, "Hayot" provides shelter to around 7,000 dogs, many of whom were rescued from capture services or abandoned by their owners. The shelter actively collaborates with volunteers and caring citizens to rescue, treat, and provide for the animals in need. Since 2018, the shelter has successfully rehomed over 1,800 dogs, including international adoptions to countries such as Estonia, the United Kingdom, and Russia. It also partners with canine services and farms, which adopt dogs for guarding their territories. Maintaining the shelter requires significant resources. Every day, approximately 2 tons of poultry products and 100 kilograms of grains are used to feed the animals. The shelter operates entirely on donations from kind-hearted individuals and support from local businesses. Volunteers and sponsors play a crucial role in ensuring the animals receive proper care and in keeping the shelter running.
